The Par88 by Windchaser is a halogen parabolic heater using far infrared heating technology to produce healthy, therapeutic heat that is more easily absorbed by the body than conventional heaters. The halogen tube efficiently heats the room without depleting the oxygen from the air while emitting up to 90% of the energy it uses. Heater features 2 rotary controls with whisper quiet adjustable oscillation and an adjustable tilting head along with 2 heat settings of 400W and 800W. Everything it claimed it would be

This product delivers on it's promises. Low energy use, substantial heat for a small environment. I especially appreciate the low energy use and the oscillating, tipping up and down head. The timer is a useful component as well. All in all, I would highly recommend this to anyone needing to heat a small area economically.

Nice looking, warm yourself without static

This is a far infrared heater, so it heats you deeply without making you dry and full of static. You can feel these heaters from a long way away. They are completely silent, and they warm you quickly to the bone. No need to keep them on constantly.

Highly Efficient - Heat the person not the room

I agree with the other reviewers on all points. Direct radiant heat is very efficient and effective if you don't have to heat the space but want to just provide warmth for a single person. I had an oil type (portable electric heater) previously and it stopped working. Saw this one in my dentist's office and experience the "sunshine" effect. I use it in my basement office at home and I aim it right towards me about four feet away and it is very comfortable without having to raise the whole room temp. Have only used it for a month (Feb in Minnesota). Very light weight and portable so move it I up in the family room when we are below zero outside.
