RXGY-G01 - Horizontal Side Wall Vent Termination Kit for Water Heaters and Direct-Vent Gas Furnaces - 3" PVC (SP20286)The RXGY-G01 kit will provide you with a clean, professional installation of the intake and exhaust pipes when you are installing a Rheem tankless condensing water heater OR 90% gas furnaces. May also work with other brands of water heaters, gas furnaces and various PVC venting applications.For questions about installation, the installer's guide below covers installation of the side wall venting kit. This vent kit may be used on 2, 2-1/2 or 3 inch vent systems. The vent kit must terminate outside the structure and may be installed with the pipes side by side or with one pipe above the other. It is not required for the vent kit to be installed in a specific orientation. Field supplied pipe and fittings are required to complete the installation. The combustion air pipe, vent pipe and fittings must conform to American National Standard Institute (ANSI) and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards D-1785 (schedule-40 PVC), D-2665 (PVC-DWV), D-2661 (ABS-DWV) or F628 (schedule 40 ABS). Pipe cement and primer must conform to ASTM standard D-2564 (PVC). In Canada, construct all combustion air and vent pipes for this unit of CSA or ULC certified schedule-40 PVC/ABS-DWV pipe and pipe cement.

I purchased this sidewall termination kit to complete the installation of my home high efficiency gas furnace. It was easy to install, looks good, and works fine.

This is actually for a furnace it will sort of work for a tankless water heater....SORT OF....

Here's the deal when it come to this device You MUST HAVE IT BEFORE YOU INSTALL YOUR TANKLESS WATER HEATER!!

Like another reviewer mentioned the spacing of this does not match Rheem's tankless water heaters that use 3" PVC for intake and Exhaust. You can use this if you reroute the pipes to achieve the necessary spacing. If you already installed your tankless water heater or furnace for that matter you need to check the spacing of you intake and exhaust pipes prior to ordering this or you'll have a nice but useless piece of plastic.
Luckily for me I'm putting in a high efficiency furnace also so while I was hoping to use this on my tankless water heater I'll use it for that instead.

Simple to install unless you have a brick wall! Then it is a little more effort. Still looks good in the end. Clean finish for tankless water heater vent.
